Levels and Courses
The English course program for children and youth has been designed so that by the age of 15/16, students can prepare for the B2 First (FCE) exam and by 17/18 for the C1 Advanced (CAE) exam, which are widely accepted by universities worldwide.
Courses for children (aged 6 to 9) have been prepared so that after completing the Juniors Program, they can be integrated into the General English program, whose levels correspond directly to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):

We select dynamic, experienced teachers with specific pedagogical training for teaching languages to foreign students.

The Oxford School uses a fully teacher-assisted method of teaching, either face-to-face or online, to emphasise the oral aspect of communication without neglecting the other language skills, which include lexical, phonological and syntactic knowledge and skills.
Direct contact with the teacher and the simulation of real-life situations allow students to speak from the start without the need for translation.
Language structures are taught naturally and progressively. The teacher uses as little theoretical explanation as possible. Students are encouraged to learn the rules through examples and are encouraged to take an active part in the learning process.
The course programmes are structured according to the different levels of education and with the aim of preparing students for the official exams of the various European universities, whose language diplomas are internationally recognised. The Oxford School is proud of its 90% success rate in international examinations.
The quality of our teachers, combined with the informal and relaxed atmosphere of our classes, provide the ideal conditions for fun and effective learning.
Enjoy learning English at Oxford School!
The courses at Oxford School are organized into 8 differentiated levels of proficiency, with structured teaching programs according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Level 1 is intended for absolute beginners, while Level 8 is aimed at achieving a proficiency level close to that of a native speaker.
To ensure students are placed in classes corresponding to their knowledge and age group, an initial assessment is conducted through a written test and an oral interview.
At the end of each course, students receive a certificate indicating the type of course attended, its duration, level, and final result. The estimated teaching hours to complete each level are 60, up to Level 5, and 100 from Level 6 onwards.

Oxford School prepares its students for the following exams:
English
B2 First (FCE)
The B2 First, also known as the First Certificate in English (FCE), is an intermediate-high level qualification. It demonstrates that you can use English in everyday situations, both orally and in writing, for work or study purposes.
C1 Advanced (CAE)
The demand for high-level qualifications in the English language is increasing worldwide. This exam, C1 Advanced, also known as the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), meets this need, certifying and awarding a C1 level.
C2 Proficiency (CPE)
The Certificate of Proficiency in English, also known as the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), is the most advanced qualification. It proves that you have reached an extremely high level in English.
IELTS
The IELTS – International English Language Testing System – is the most popular English language test. It is developed by some of the leading experts in linguistics assessment and evaluates all your English skills – reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
IELTS is accepted by over 11,000 organizations in more than 140 countries. These organizations include governments, academic institutions, and employers, with 3,000 in the USA alone.
TOEIC
The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a test geared towards professionals and businesses. The TOEIC Exam is currently divided into two tests, one that assesses receptive skills (reading and listening comprehension) and one that assesses English production (speaking and writing). Students can choose to take both tests or just one, depending on their needs. Each test has its unique structure, and the scoring system is also different.
TOEFL
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an academic English test primarily taken by students applying to universities in the United States of America. TOEFL is also accepted as proof of English proficiency by some universities outside the US. TOEFL actually comprises a series of tests, with the most popular being the TOEFL iBT.
At the end of each course, our students receive a certificate that verifies the level achieved according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
These certificates include the type of course, duration, grade, the level attended, and the level achieved.
As Oxford School is a school recognized by the Ministry of Education, these certificates are official and have curricular validity.
