One-to-one/ Small Group Lessons
The Oxford School offers one-to-one tuition in any European language. Classes are taught by native-speaking teachers, supported by a Director of Studies who analyses the training needs and ensures that the proposed objectives are achieved.
As these classes are entirely based on the specific interests of the students, they offer total flexibility in terms of duration, timetable and content, responding to their learning needs and availability, which are often not compatible with other study programmes.
Oxford School courses are divided into 8 different levels, with programmes structured according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Level 1 is for absolute beginners and Level 8 is for students who are close to native speakers.
To ensure that students are properly placed in classes according to their level and age group, an initial assessment is made by means of a written test and an oral interview.
At the end of each course, students receive a certificate stating the type of course attended, its duration, level and final result. The estimated number of hours of tuition required to complete each level is 60 up to Level 5 and 100 from Level 6 onwards.

The Oxford School prepares its students for the following exams:
B2 First (FCE)
B2 First, also known as First Certificate in English (FCE), is an upper-intermediate level qualification.
It demonstrates that you can use everyday English, both spoken and written, for work or study purposes.
C1 Advanced (CAE)
Demand for higher level English language qualifications is increasing worldwide. This exam, C1 Advanced, also known as the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), meets this need by certifying and awarding a C1 level qualification.
C2 Proficiency (CPE)
The Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) is the most advanced qualification. It proves that you have reached an extremely high level of English.
IELTS
IELTS – the International English Language Testing System – is the most popular English language test. Developed by some of the world’s leading language assessment experts, it assesses all your English language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking.
IELTS is recognised by over 11,000 organisations in more than 140 countries. These organisations include governments, academic institutions and employers, with 3,000 in the USA alone.
TOEIC
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a test designed for professionals and companies. The TOEIC exam is currently split into two tests, one that assesses receptive skills (reading and listening) and one that assesses production skills (speaking and writing). Students can choose to take both tests or just one, depending on their needs. The structure of each test is unique and the scores are also different.
TOEFL
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a test of academic English taken primarily by students applying to universities in the United States of America. The TOEFL is also accepted by some universities outside the USA as proof of English language proficiency. The TOEFL is actually a series of tests, the most popular of which is the TOEFL iBT.
At the end of each course our students receive a certificate stating the level they have achieved according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
These certificates state the type of course, the duration, the grade, the level attended and the level achieved.
As Oxford School is a school recognised by the Ministry of Education, these certificates are official and have curricular validity.
