Language courses for companies
This type of course is aimed at companies or institutions wishing to offer their employees the opportunity to learn or improve a language and who sometimes find it difficult to combine their professional activities with their training schedules.
The creation of small, closed groups and the organisation of courses at the workplace make it possible to provide a completely personalised teaching process, avoiding the need for participants to waste time travelling. They also make it possible to organise specific programmes, adapted to different levels of knowledge, based on the study of the various structures of the language in its general scope, combined with the business area.
On the basis of the results of the assessment tests and an analysis of the tasks and objectives of the staff to be trained, the Oxford School can propose a study programme with a pre-determined duration and carry out training courses that include the following options:
Training venue
- On company premises
- At Oxford School
- Via video conferencing (online)
Type of training
- Private lessons (1 to 3 students)
- Closed groups (4 to 12 students)
Type of course
- General or specific
- For academic purposes
The Oxford School uses the face-to-face method of teaching, with greater emphasis on the sociolinguistic aspect of oral communication, without neglecting the other language skills, which include lexical, phonological and syntactic knowledge and skills.
Direct contact with the teacher and the simulation of real-life situations allow students to speak from the start without the need for translation.
Language structures are taught naturally and progressively. The teacher uses as little theoretical explanation as possible. Students are encouraged to learn the rules through examples and are encouraged to take an active part in the learning process.
The course programmes are structured according to the different levels of education and with the aim of preparing students for the official exams of the various European universities, whose language diplomas are internationally recognised. The Oxford School is proud of its 90% success rate in international examinations.
The quality of our teachers, combined with the informal and relaxed atmosphere of our classes, provide the ideal conditions for fun and effective learning.
Enjoy learning English at Oxford School!
Oxford School prepares its students for the following exams:
English
B2 First (FCE)
B2 First, also known as First Certificate in English (FCE), is an upper-intermediate level qualification.
It demonstrates that you can use everyday English, both spoken and written, for work or study purposes.
C1 Advanced (CAE)
Demand for higher level English language qualifications is increasing worldwide. This exam, C1 Advanced,
also known as the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), meets this need by certifying and awarding a C1 level qualification.
C2 Proficiency (CPE)
The Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) is the most advanced qualification. It proves that you have reached an
extremely high level of English.
IELTS
IELTS – the International English Language Testing System – is the most popular English language test. Developed by
some of the world’s leading language assessment experts, it assesses all your English language skills – reading, writing,
listening and speaking.
IELTS is recognised by over 11,000 organisations in more than 140 countries. These organisations include governments,
academic institutions and employers, with 3,000 in the USA alone.
TOEIC
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a test designed for professionals and companies. The TOEIC
exam is currently split into two tests, one that assesses receptive skills (reading and listening) and one that assesses
production skills (speaking and writing). Students can choose to take both tests or just one, depending on their needs. The
structure of each test is unique and the scores are also different.
TOEFL
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a test of academic English taken primarily by students applying to
universities in the United States of America. The TOEFL is also accepted by some universities outside the USA as proof
of English language proficiency. The TOEFL is actually a series of tests, the most popular of which is the TOEFL iBT.
At the end of each course our students receive a certificate stating the level they have achieved according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
These certificates state the type of course, the duration, the grade, the level attended and the level achieved.
As Oxford School is a school recognised by the Ministry of Education, these certificates are official and have curricular validity.
- Regular Courses
These courses take place during the school year, from October to June, with a workload of 2 or 3 hours per week and are aimed at all levels (Levels 1 to 8). - Three-month Semi-intensive Courses
